NFL Conference Championship Week!

 

So last week I thought I bombed the whole week by going 0-2 on Saturday but coming back strong and making some right moves came back roaring on Sunday! 2-0! over all weeks bets were 10-4 so I had a great week. So this time around it is the Conference Championship games and then there's Pro Bowl and then the Super Bowl! After that I'll be on hiatus for a few months and every once in awhile I'll post up some updates on prop bets before the season starts. Baltimore @ New England -7/50

Patriots

Last time these teams played each other the Ravens ran all over them with Ray Rice. This time around the Patriot offense is even more dangerous and their defense has taken a step back. Ravens did not play well against a Texans offense that had 4 turnovers and only lost by 7 points. Pretty much giving the Ravens the ball inside the 20 yard line twice and inside the 50 the other 2 times. For an offense to come out so strong in the beginning and end so weak at the end makes you question if Flacco wasn't a bit rattled playing last week. This week he has an easier task but after the whooping the Patriots put on the Broncos I feel this will be a closer game. I think the Points are just around where they should be.

N.Y. Giants @ San Francisco -3/42

Giants

I like the 49ers but man these Giants seem to just battle back from
anything! This Giants team is getting hot at the right moments and well I like
them to go to the Super Bowl. 49ers have a very good defense and if they can
stop the Giants from scoring on them they should do very well. This game will
be a close game if the 49ers win and I can say the same if the Giants win. I
like the Giants + the points but if you're feeling like you need another play
take the over. If the 49ers want to win they will have to continue playing
defense and hope they can get some great QB play from Alex Smith.

NFL Divisional Playoff Week!

 

So last week I went 2 for 2 last week but hit a lot of my bets. This week is
a bet harder to choose. But I guess will see what happens this week.

New Orleans @ San Francisco 3.5/47

Saints

I like the 49ers but the saints are a pretty high powered offense and one
tends to think if they 49ers can stop them. I don't think this game is a blow
out but I do think the Saints will cover the spread. 49ers had time to rest but
the Saints are pretty hot coming off a big win against the Lions.

Denver @ New England 14/50

Broncos

Last time these team played Patriots blew out the Broncos 41-23. That would
explain the high spread but once again I'm going to have to take the points. That's
just a lot of points

Texans

I'm just going to be a homer this game and take the Texans. There's a lot of
things that can go right but will they go right. I can sit here and tell you
how I think the Texans are going to walk in and win and put up tons of points
on a very good Ravens defense but I'm not. I think the Texans cover but lose.

N.Y. Giants @ Green bay -9/52.5

Giants

Last time these team played the Giants barely lost, but I took them to cover
the spread. I'm going to do the same with this one. The spread is higher and
Giants are playing pretty well. I feel like this could be that superbowl
wildcard team from years back that got hot at the end of the year and won the
superbowl over the Patriots.

Texans

I like the Texans in this one (of course...) to win. Last time this game was
played it was in Cincinnati and the Texans were without Andre Johnson. This
time the Texans are at home and they do have Andre Johnson. This time the
Bengals will have to plan for him and Arian Foster should have a bigger game
this time. I like this to be a low scoring game because both defenses are
pretty darn good.

Detroit @ New Orleans -10.5/58.5

Lions

I like the Lions plus the points. I think the Saints will win but 10.5 just
seems a lot for a team that has just as much firing power as the Saints. I just
think this is a showing that the Packers scored up on the Lions with their 2nd
stringers and the Saints are a pretty big offensive power. I think the Lions
play better and keep this game closer. If Could be wrong and it could be a
total blow out but when has the Saints defense actually stop somebody?

Atlanta @ N.Y. Giants -3/47

Giants

I like the Giants in this one. They are very explosive offensively and are
clicking more on defense. The Falcons don't play well in open dome stadiums and
grass. Falcons are more of a dome team and turf team. I expect them to play
well but I just like the Giants too much to bet against them in this one.

Steelers

I want to say the Broncos can cover this spread but they are just an
offensive mess. The Steelers can put up points and the Broncos offense plays
into the Steelers strengths. I wouldn't be surprised if the Broncos cover but
if Big Ben goes out I could see that happening. Tim Tebow gets a chance to
redeem himself and play in a big game.

NFL Picks Week 17!

Last week for regular season football guys! I hope everyone made money last week cause it seemed pretty easy if you ask me. So, this is the week before we are cut down to 2 game Saturday and Sundays and then 1 game, and then Pro-bowl and then the Superbowl! So good luck this week!

Both teams dont have much to play but I like the Eagles in this one. Why not win one at home for Coach Andy Reid seeing that he might not have a job next year.

Jets

Dolphins will try to play spoiler for the Jets to get in the Playoffs for the last wildcard spot. I think the Jets want it too much to lose. Home or Away I like the Jets, I just don't like Mark Sanchez.

Panthers

Saints are such a good team but If they sit their starters I love the Panthers in this one. They don't have much to play for but Cam Newton has a lot of pride and will pull out a victory for his team. Rookie of the Year? yes please...

Lions

From what I was told I believe the Packers will play their starters and sit them out by half time. I like the Lions to win only so they can seed better in the Playoffs. Packers don't have much to play for other then reps for the young players. They won't be moving anywhere in seeding so I like the Lions.

Is it true? Colts are trying to win to get out of the Luck sweepstakes? Go ahead and give me the Colts with the points. Both teams have nothing to play for and well other than to not having the number one pick and not having to decided Luck or Manning I suppose that is a good thing?

Bills

Patriots more than likely will sit out starters since they are already in the top seeding. I like the Bills just cause they beat the Patriots once and could beat them again. plus 11 points is a lot of points.

Texans plus points? yes please, and a chance to knock the Titans out of the playoffs! Andre Johnson will be back as well as Coach Wade Phillips I think the Texans stand a chance to get a win and bring the momentum into the playoffs.

Vikings

Yea its weird I would normally pick the Bears but I feel the Vikings will play a little better at home and you never know what will happen. Vikings will look pretty different next year and this game could be the coming out party for a lot of these new Vikings.

Buccaneers are such a bad team and the Falcons are trying to seed better so they don't have to play the Saints again. To be honest this spread is a bit high but I do like the Falcons so what the hell.

Steelers

Cleveland is decent but I think the Steelers 2nd string players are good enough to play with the best of them. Spreads a bit high but Steelers could seed better with a win.

To be honest I want to pick the Bengals but I am going to go for the Ravens. They tend to play a little better away from home and well they have been playing from behind lately so this could very well be a close game. But who doesn't want to win going into the playoffs?

Chiefs

This could very well be the best story line of week 17. Tebow VS Orton the replaced with his new team going against the New Guy. Plus the Chiefs have looked more impressive that I think they can pull this one out.

Chargers

A chance to knock the Raiders out of the playoffs? To be honest this season couldn't have played out any better. I like the Chargers if they play their starters. If they don't play their starters I would take the Raiders, but if they do play their starters take the Chargers.

Seahawks

The Cardinals will go into the off season figuring out how they plan to restructure this team and the Seahawks are the Seahawks. They have been playing well and I expect this to continue. They have looked really good but Cardinals are a different beast at home. So give me the points.

Giants

This is the best game of the week. Both teams playing for the chance to make the playoffs now you have to figure who would be the best team. I like the Giants, even though they are long overdue for a big letdown I still like them, Cowboys are a streaky team and well wouldn't you like to see the Giants go against the Patriots again in the Superbowl?

What a week. Nothing but underdogs was thinking about switching my picks on here but I got lazy so im must gonna stick to the picks I took. I didn't have alot of time this week but i'll put up the lines and spreads and the thursday game. I'll do saturday and sundays tomorrow and i'll adjust some this week figured its game time and can't start slacking now. This week has alot of saturday games and only 1 sunday and monday game. This week is a bit odd when it comes to picking games but the lines look pretty much where their supposed to be other then an upset here or there. Remember we have football 4 days a week now! Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, man I love football... But, lets get on with the picks this week. Good Luck!

The underdog has won the thursday games the last couple of weeks. This week I feel will be different. I like the Falcons to win big at home and cover the spread easily. Falcons finally are healthy and Jacksonville on the other hand have a monster running game.

Cowboys

Weirdly I hate betting the Cowboys and I take them week after week but this time I think they will cover. Buccaneers are so bad right now and well lets be honest the Cowboys are just making bad decisions but are still winning, so I figure sooner or later they will win and cover.

Bengals

Bengals came off a bad lost to the Texans and the Rams are coming off a bad lost to the Seahawks. I just think the Bengals are a better team and will take care of the Rams. Bengals need to win this game if they want to stay in the playoff race.

Giants won a great game against the Cowboys last sunday night and I think at home they do the same to turnover machine Rex Grossman. He's good for plays and bad for others, but I believe this will be a pretty high scoring game. Eli is becoming more elite and its showing. I like the Giants to take it to the air and pound the ball. Their defense has stepped up as of late and will make big plays.

I like the Titans to win this game. Jake Locker tends to throw the ball more and the Colts won't be able to stop Chris Johnson. Titans will need to keep winning if they plan on getting a playoff spot.

The Bears defense keeps them in the games and this week I like them at home. Sooner or later the Bears will click and will make something happen. This is that week they finally get a win and come out from their tailspin.

Packers will be without Greg Jennings for 3 weeks but it doesn't matter, they have so many weapons its just gonna be another explosion of offense. Chiefs are going with Kyle Orton and benching Palko coaches decision seeing that they fired Todd Haley, this will be an interesting game.

I would wait for this line to go down only because Coach Wade Phillips is the next Texan to go down. They have a motto that its always the next man up. This week it will be Coach Herring. Panthers have an explosive defense and I expect the Texans to limit the points they score. Its up to TJ Yates to get them another W in the win column. ________________________________________

I like the Saints in this one. They play will in closed statiums and not so much on grass. They barely pulled out a victory last week and this week i feel like they will put up more points. I see more of a run/passing game from both teams.

Raiders are not playing well and the Lions tend to put up tons of points on weak secondary. Now that they have Suh back I think that will give the Raiders more trouble, also it helps that Nick Fairly has come back and looked dominate replacing Suh. Cleveland @ Arizona -6.5/37

Cardinals

I don't know what to make of this game. Browns will be without Colt McCoy and the Cardinals are playing a lot better. What am I thinking this is easy, Cardinals will win this one and their offense finally seems to be clicking.

I hate both teams but I am going to take the Jets since they are getting the points. Jets have been playing Good defense and back to running the ball. I like this game but I just don't like this spread. Sometimes the Steelers play very well and sometimes they play before below their competition. For now I believe im 1-some high number on TNF so lets be honest Cleveland is probably going to cover.

I like the Patriots to cover this time. Both teams have bad defenses but the Patriots have a more high powered offense. Tom Brady has been pretty lights out and I don't think the Redskins stand a chance. They might cover the spread in garabge time like the Colts did.

Falcons should have won that game against the Texans but they didn't so this week i feel like they will bounce back. Julio Jones dropped a very nice pass and he will redeem himself. Both teams are pretty big offensive teams but then again I forgot, Matt Ryan doesn't play well on grass. Lets see if I change this pick before the weekend games start.

I like the Eagles in this one. As decent as the Seahawks are they have lost 3 home games and haven't beaten the Eagles at home since 1995. Eagles are without Michael Vic and Jeremy Maclin maybe even McCoy might be a late scratch with a toe injury. Still like Vince Young to carry this team with Jackson and Cooper.

Raiders

Raiders are a little beat up but Im going to go with them against the Dolphins. The Dolphins are playing a lot better but I feel like the Raiders are just better on both sides of the ball. Reggie Bush might not be able to rip up this defense like he has before, Michael Bush on the other hand will probably have a huge game.

Sadly Im taking the Falcons in this one. Even with CB Brent Grimes out I still have to favor the Falcons more solid on both ends of the ball and still have their QB. Texans still rank in the top 5 in running and on defense but we have no idea what T.J. Yate will do its hard for me to think the Texans will win this one. Their defense will keep them in the game but if the defense doesn't puts up points for them don't see much going on in this game.

The Titans have found their run game with CJ2K but he can't do everything. Both teams allow a lot of passing yards and are half way decent on defense but Im going to take the home team -1. Match up doesn't seem but both have playoff implications. If they both want to get a wildcard spot both will have to win, but only one can. I think the Bills should pull this one out.

Hmmm... Tyler Palko or Caleb Hannie.... Im going with the Bears in this one. Both are 2nd stringers but I love the Bears defense in this one. As much problems as they gave the Steelers I don't think they can do the same with the Bears. We might see Kyle Orton mid-way through the game if Palko isn't cutting it and wouldn't that be fun to see?

Buccaneers will be without Josh Freeman this week and we will probably see Joe Johnson. Still like the Panthers plus the points in this one.

20 points?! seems like a lot but I don't expect much new QB Dan Orvlasky. Painter is a much better QB and to put in Orvlasky that just means the Colts have given up and are just sucking for luck. I don't expect the Colts to even put up a fight and the Patriots can easily put up points on the Colts.

I like the Lions to cover but not to win. Matthew Stafford has very good bounce back weeks when he plays bad the week before. This week would be that bounce back week. Both teams can put up points like the best of them but on offense its a different story but are pretty low in the rankings. So lets be honest the Saints are going to win but thats a lot of points for a team that can put up a lot of points when needed.

Chargers have been such a big let down this year and I don't expect them to do much but they should do enough to win this game, by how much no clue but they should win right? They are more explosive on offense but Phillip Rivers hasn't been himself lately and tossing a lot of picks. Jacksonville plays pretty good defense but they are suffering a lot of injuries and not that explosive on offense at all.
